Evangelion Anime Launches Transforming Fast Food Robots in McDonald’s Collab

Remember McDonald's Changeables — the Transformers-alikes where little plastic copies of your favorite fast food turned into robots and dinosaurs? They're back, at least in Japan...and now they're Evas!Neon Genesis Evangelion is launching its first-ever collaboration with McDonald's Japan, offering three different transforming Eva toys in a "Value Set Collection." Check out the Big Mac EVA-01, EVA-02 hiding in a pack of fries, and EVA-00 as a shake: The set also includes a burger bun AT Field and a Fry of Longinus:McDonald's Japan is hosting an open lottery system for a chance to purchase the toys between December 19 to January 10, with winners notified and able to purchase the toys from January 20 to 26. The set of three will cost 3,900 yen.

McDonald’s Japan is hosting an open lottery system for a chance to purchase the toys between December 19 to January 10, with winners notified and able to purchase the toys from January 20 to 26. The set of three will cost 3,900 yen. Sadly for fans outside of Japan, there’s no word of a potential global release for these transforming toys.
