SHIBUYA♡HACHI (pronounced “Shibuya Love Hachi”), a TV anime based on the official mascot of the Shibuya City Tourism Association, has announced that the series will be returning to Japanese airwaves in spring 2025 for a second season.
Based on original work by the SHIBUYA♡HACHI executive committee, SHIBUYA♡HACHI features animation production by Nippon Animation. HACHI performs the official theme song for the series, which is entitled “DUSK”.
The SHIBUYA♡HACHI TV anime celebrates the 100th anniversary of Hachiko, a dog renowned for his loyalty to his departed master, who has also been immortalized in a bronze statue located outside Shibuya Station in Shibuya City, Tokyo, Japan. The series follows the daily adventures of Hachi, a dog who enjoys a relaxed and cheerful life with his friends in modern day Shibuya.
