The jobs keep rolling in for the Gintama crew, as the comedy series’ Jump Festa 2025 stage event today revealed a teaser trailer for the upcoming 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-Sensei spin-off anime, which is slated to begin airing in October 2025.

A Sakamoto Days parody illustration by Gintama author Hideaki Sorachi was also released (coincidentally, voice actor Tomokazu Sugita plays the lead in both series).
3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-Sensei is directed by Natsumi Higashida (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun episode director) with chief direction from Makoto Moriwaki (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) at BN Pictures. The series composition is written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) and “To be determined MarkII,” character designs/chief animation direction by Shinji Takeuchi (Gintama) and music by Audio Highs.The spin-off novel features high school teacher Gintoki Sakata, who becomes the homeroom teacher of Class 3-Z of Gintama High School. It is a comedy story in a school that has been turned into a rowdy zoo, crowded with students with strong characters.
