Gen Urobuchi’s wuxia epic Thunderbolt Fantasy comes to a close this winter. This weekend, it was confirmed that the puppet show’s “final chapter”—Thunderbolt Fantasy: Toriken Yuki Saishusho—will premiere in Japanese cinemas on February 21, 2025.The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer and poster:

The film was first announced earlier this year alongside the fourth season, which premiered in Japan on October 5 of this year. The series has also inspired two films (The Sword of Life and Death and Bewitching Melody of the West) in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
