Fantasy light novel fans will have something to look forward to next year, because according to an official post on social media, The Irregular at Magic High School THE MOVIE -Yotsuba Succession Arc- is heading to theaters in Japan “next winter”, i.e. the winter season of 2026. An updated teaser visual (below) has also been published for the film.
The original The Irregular at Magic High School light novels are written by Tsutomu Sato, illustrated by Kana Ishida and published in Japan by ASCII Media Works under their Dengeki Bunko imprint. Yen Press also publishes an English language version of the series.

Based on the light novel by Tsutomu Sato, The irregular at magic high school is set in a world where magic exists but instead of using chants and spells, magic users cast spells with their Casting Assistant Device (CAD).
