Another character trailer has arrived ahead of the premiere of My Happy Marriage season 2, which continues adapting the light novel series on January 6. This time, we have a look at Kiyoka Kudo, featuring the voice work of Kaito Ishikawa (Tobio Kageyama in Haikyu!!).

Following the first season that aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2024, the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Akumi Agitogi’s romance fantasy light novel series My Happy Marriage is set to premiere on January 6, 2025. Takehiro Kubota (ID: INVADED assistant director) continues to serve as the director at studio Kinema Citrus.Yen Press, which publishes an official English version of the novel series, describes the story:

Born talentless to a noble family famous for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements.
