Ahead of Maomao and Jinshi’s return to service in The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 tonight in Japan, the series’ official accounts released a creditless version of the new opening sequence, featuring “Hyakkaryoran” by YOASOBI vocalist Lilas Ikuta and direction by Ayaka Nakata, and announced that an exhibition about the acclaimed anime will be held on March 26-April 14 in Matsuya Ginza, Tokyo.
The event, which will travel to Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagoya and other locations at a later date, will feature three-dimensional scene recreations, production materials and more. A poster was also unveiled.

Based on the light novels by Natsu Hyuuga and Touko Shino, The Apothecary Diaries is directed by Norihiko Naganuma (The Ancient Magus’ Bride), who also serves as series composer, and assistant-directed by Akinori Fudesaka (Tsuredure Children) at TOHO animation STUDIO and OLM.
