The official website for the Black Butler anime series today confirmed that two-member rock band Cö shu Nie, best known for performing Tokyo Ghoul:re‘s first opening song, will perform the opening song for Black Butler -Emerald Witch Arc-, which is scheduled to premiere in April 2025. The song, titled “MAISIE”, is written by HYDE, Miku Nakamura and hico and will feature HYDE (Attack on Titan Season 3 opening theme) himself.
Kenjiro Okada (March comes in like a lion chief director) continues to direct the latest Black Butler anime at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Hiroyuki Yoshino (World Trigger), character designs by Yumi Shimizu (Horimiya chief animation director). Maaya Sakamoto and Daisuke Ono reprise their roles as Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis, respectively.Crunchyroll streams the full series to date, and will stream the upcoming -Emerald Witch Arc- when it premieres in the spring.
