Before Sonic the Hedgehog 3 even lit up theaters, a fourth entry in the series was officially confirmed. Now a date has been locked in, so look for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to premiere on March 19, 2027.The third film, which introduced Keanu Reeves as Shadow, opened in theaters on December 20, 2024, and is now available to rent or own digitally via video-on-demand services. The Blu-ray, DVD and 4K Ultra HD physical releases will follow on April 15.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 pulled in big numbers in theaters, surpassing the previous entries with $218 million domestically and $422 million globally.
