The 1995 theatrical anime film Ghost in the Shell is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025. Part of the festivities includes the announcement of a large-scale art exhibition entitled “Ghost in the Shell” Comprehensive Anime Series Exhibition, which will be staged in Tokyo in 2026.
The exhibition will cover the original Ghost in the Shell manga by Masamune Shirow as well as all of the anime adaptations, including: Ghost in the Shell (1995), Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004), Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2002), Ghost in the Shell: Arise (2013), Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 (2020), and the new 2026 Ghost in the Shell TV anime with animation by Science SARU. Additional details about the exhibition will be revealed at a later date.
