That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime‘s plans for a second anime film officially hold water, following today’s reveal of a teaser visual and title — “Soukai no Namida-hen”, roughly translating to “Tears of the Blue Sea Arc” — which will leave us holding our breath until the Japanese theatrical release in February 2026. Studio eightbit continues to produce the animation, though a director for the film is yet to be confirmed.
A fourth anime season is also in production.

Based on the light novels by Fuse, the latest season of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime was directed by Atsushi Nakayama (Absolute Duo) at studio eightbit, with series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun) and character designs by Ryoma Ebata (Stars Align key animator).
Crunchyroll continues to stream the series in a range of subs and dubs, and describes the story:
Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
