The official website for MIRU: Paths to My Future, an upcoming original TV anime project produced by Japanese diesel engine and heavy machinery manufacturer Yanmar, released a new trailer introducing the opening theme song “AI=UTA” performed by the virtual artist group V.W.P (Virtual Witch Phenomenon). The video also includes advanced footage from the TV anime. V.W.P consists of five virtual artists from KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO: KAF, RIM, Harusaruhi, Isekaijoucho and KOKO. In the video, KAF delivers a message on behalf of the group. “‘AI=UTA’ is a dramatic and fast-paced song composed by Noriyasu Agematsu-san of Element Garden,” she said. “I can’t wait for everyone to listen to this song in full chorus, as it makes you want to take a step forward toward a new future!”

The five-part TV anime MIRU: Paths to My Future, which will be told in an omnibus format, is scheduled to broadcast in Japan in April 2025.
The synopsis on the project’s official website reads:
In the distant future, humans create a robot named MIRU capable of traveling through time, visiting various eras, places, and even parallel worlds. Unlike some robots, MIRU isn’t equipped with weapons. Instead, it helps people overcome immense obstacles peacefully, encouraging new beginnings without violence. MIRU continuously evolves by interacting with people, learning and growing to assist those struggling to survive. It listens to their problems and offers support. By helping others, MIRU sets off a “Butterfly Effect,”* of dramatic change guiding society toward a brighter future. Why was MIRU created? What is its purpose? Can it save the Earth and humanity from a dystopian future?
