A new video highlighting Netflix’s upcoming slate of Japanese live-action films and series released today featured footage of Alice in Borderland Season 3 and confirmed that the acclaimed adaptation of Haro Aso’s action thriller manga will return in 2025.
Alice in Borderland director Shinsuke Sato’s post on X (formerly Twitter) specifies that the third season will begin streaming in September.
Direced by Shinsuke Sato (Kingdom, Bleach live-action) and starring Kento Yamazaki as Ryohei Arisu, Alice in Borderland first premiered in December 2020 and was followed by a second season in December 2022 after the series reached Top 10 streaming in over 70 countries.
Netflix streams the series worldwide and described the previous sequel as such:
Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) and Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya) try to unravel the mysteries of Borderland to return to the real world. In a place they believe holds the key to uncovering these mysteries, they meet allies, enemies, and the mastermind behind all of the games. Arisu and the others pit themselves against games of a scale and difficulty that exceed the first season. The remaining games are only the Jack, Queen, and King cards, but will they be able to collect them all and return to the real world? The hugely popular series that astounded the world returns with even more thrills and excitement!
