The official YouTube channel for the three-piece Japanese rock band WANDS released a music video for their 22nd CD single song “Shooting star.” The rock tune is now featured as the 72nd ending theme for the Case Closed (Detective Conan) TV anime series beginning with Episode 1148 which aired in Japan on January 4, 2025. The band has provided opening themes for the TV anime series three times in the past, but this is the first they have performed an ending theme. The band recently provided the theme song for the compilation film Detective Conan vs. Kaito Kid in January 2024.

The “Shooting star” CD single released in Japan on January 22, 2025, ranking #8 in Oricon’s weekly single charts in its first week. The song will also be included in WANDS’ upcoming eighth album “TIME STEW” set to release on March 26, 2025.
