Acclaimed anime creator and industry leader Masaaki Yuasa today announced the establishment of a new Tokyo-based animation studio called ame pippin, in collaboration with production companies Asmik Ace, Aniplex and CoMix Wave Films.
Yuasa previously co-founded Science SARU in 2013 with producer Eunyoung Choi, where he directed both mind-bending series (Devilman Crybaby, The Tatami Galaxy) and original films (Ride Your Wave, Inu-Oh).
ame pippin’s official website displays the following message in English from “CEO & Co-Founder” Yuasa:
We are hoping that our new studio will be a place for new opportunities and a fresh creative environment.
As a collective, we will make steady progress, maintain quick turnarounds and flexibility, and foster joy in creativity.
