Marin and Gojo’s budding romance in My Dress-Up Darling will soon be coming to an end. Manga creator Shinichi Fukuda announced today on her X (formerly Twitter) account that the next chapter of the cosplay-romance series will be its last. The 114th chapter of the series was published today, with the 115th chapter as the series’ last.
The final chapter is set to be released in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine next month.
My Dress-Up Darling began in Young Gangan in January 2018, with 14 collected volumes were released in Japan as of November 2024. Choboraunyopomi’s spin-off series, Kisekae Ningyo de Chu♡ started in the same magazine in January 2025. The manga has inspired a TV anime series, with the first season airing from January to March 2022 and the second season scheduled to air later this year. A live-action drama also aired from October to December 2024.
Square Enix’s Manga UP! service also announced today that the My Dress-Up Darling manga has started simulpub’ing in English on the service starting at the series’ penultimate chapter. Square Enix also releases the published books in English, with volume 13 set to be released on April 15.
Crunchyroll is streaming the first season of the TV anime adaptation, describing the series as such:
Wakana Gojo is a high school boy who wants to become a kashirashi–a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he’s gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class.
