A brand-new trailer released today for Maebashi Witches, the upcoming original idol anime set in Gunma Prefecture, confirmed an April 6, 2025 at 22:30 JST premiere for Japanese television. A key visual was also unveiled, featuring a tagline that reads, “A place where we, despite all our flaws, can become invincible.”

Junichi Yamamoto (More than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers.) directs Maebashi Witches at SUNRISE Studios, with series composition by Erika Yoshida (BOCCHI THE ROCK!), Yu Inami’s original character designs adapted for animation by Nozomi Tachibana (Kemono Jihen) and music by Yuri Habuka.
Five newcomer voice actors, who play aspiring witches in Gunma Prefecture’s Maebashi City, join an industry veteran for the anime’s cast:
