It’s time for another casting announcement from The Catcher in the Ballpark! The upcoming anime has revealed two more voice actors joining the cast—one playing a member of the “baseball town” at the center of the story, another as a coworker of protagonist Murata.

Atsuki Nakamura (Roko in THE IDOLM@STER Million Live!) will play Hotaru, a new coworker of Murata’s who loves baseball. Her presence also seems to make Ruriko, the cheerful beer seller, jealous.Kiyono Yasuno (Charmy in Black Clover) appears as Nagisa, the announcer at Motorsun Stadium.
Junichi Kitamura (Fluffy Paradise) directs The Catcher in the Ballpark! anime at studio EMT Squared, with series composition by Shigeru Murakoshi (I Parry Everything), character designs by Fumio Iida and music by MONACA (Shangri-La Frontier). The series is based on the manga by Tatsuro Suga.The anime’s official website describes the story (translated):

One day at a baseball stadium, a gyaru selling beer approaches!? But she’s actually a super innocent and kind-hearted girl…♡
The setting is a pro-league baseball stadium! Many people gather there every day to work and laugh together, and human drama is born there — it’s almost like a town!
So, why not become a “resident” of that town?!
A romantic-comedy full of laughs and tears, dedicated to all those involved in professional baseball!
