If it takes the over-the-top violence and muscles-on-muscles action of Baki to get you out of bed in the morning, an extra-strong dose of caffeine is on the way in the form of the Baki Hanma: Blood Arena game.
Appropriately enough, Keisuke Itagaki’s long-running series has inspired a brawler that takes a strong note from Nintendo classic Punch-Out!!. Publisher Purple Play and developer Purple Tree (Thunder Ray) have teamed up with TMS Entertainment to bring the 2D fighter to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC this September.

Blood Arena promises battles against 12 opponents across five “iconic battle arenas,” complete with anime-inspired special moves and an original soundtrack.
