A band of news for the upcoming Gorilla no Kami kara Kagosareta Reijou wa Ouritsu Kishi-dan de Kawaigarareru (Having been blessed by the gorilla god, the young lady is loved by the Royal Knights) anime, based on the Shirohi-written, Mika Kamisu-drawn manga series, was announced tonight. This news includes an April 6 premiere, the opening and ending theme song, and more cast members.

The opening theme song, which is previewed in the newest trailer above, is “Illuminate” performed by Shugo Nakamura, who was also newly announced as a new cast member, with the ending theme song “Serendipity” sung by Megumi Ogata.

Fumitoshi Oizaki (Chillin’ in My 30s after Getting Fired from the Demon King’s Army) directs Gorilla no Kami kara Kagosareta Reijo wa Oritsu Kishi-dan de Kawaigarareru at studio Kachigarasu, with series composition by Hitomi Amemiya (A Condition Called Love), character designs by Sakae Shibuya (Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness) and music by Seima Iwahashi (Quality Assurance in Another World). Yayoi Tateishi serves as sound director and diomedéa provides production assistance.

The story is set in a world where 16-year-olds receive blessings from various animal gods. Sophia, the timid daughter of a noble, received the blessing from the “Gorilla God,” giving her the ability to lift over 500 kgs. Although all she wants is a peaceful life, people seek her out due to her immense power, leading her to become scouted by the royal knights.
