Ahead of a 2025 broadcast debut, the official website and accounts for the Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi anime today revealed the casting of Yoshino Aoyama (Hitori in BOCCHI THE ROCK!) as Miwa Mikadono, the third daughter and a rising star in the world of shogi.
Furthermore, it was announced that the four main cast members will appear together in a special program scheduled for March 17.

Aya Hirakawa’s Mikadono Sanshimai wa Angai, Choroi manga has been serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since December 2021. Tadahito Matsubayashi (VINLAND SAGA episode director) directs the anime adaptation at studio P.A. Works, with Yusuke Inoue (Skip and Loafer animation director) providing the character designs.
The series follows Yu Ayase who the Mikadono family takes in after the death of his mother, a popular actor. Already struggling with living up to his mother’s legacy, now Ayase is surrounded by three prodigy sisters: actor Kazuki, martial artist Nico and Shogi player Miwa. The three girls start to develop feelings for Ayase and hijinks ensues.
