Following the announcement of an anime adaptation of Shichio Kuzu’s Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?! light novel series, known as Mushoku no Eiyuu: Betsu ni Skill Nanka Iranakattan Daga in Japan, back in October 2023, the series has finally confirmed a release year – and it’s this one! Along with the confirmed 2025 premiere, the first cast and staff were revealed alongside a teaser visual.

Voicing the main character Arel will be Kensho Ono, best known for playing Giorno Giovanna in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko’s Basketball.

Kaoru Yabana (YuruYuri episode director) directs Hero Without a Class at studio A-CAT with scripts and series composition written by Chabo Higurashi (AMAZING STRANGER). Hiroto Morishita is the sound director, and Kento Asahina composes the music. The sound is being produced at DAX Production.
The original Hero Without a Class light novels, written by Shichio Kuzu and illustrated by Yumehito Ueda, are published by Earth Star Entertainment. Akio Nanae illustrates a manga adaptation with nine volumes currently released. One Peace Books releases the manga in English, with the third volume set to be released on May 13. One Peace describes the series as such:
