Masuo Kinoko’s A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai fantasy light novel series will receive a TV anime adaptation, following the anime’s official website and X (formerly Twitter) opening and releasing a teaser visual. A release date was not announced at the time of reporting.

The idea for Takeru, the material gatherer, came to me as an escape from the reality of an uncompensated daily life. I wanted to look at things I had never seen, touch things I had never heard of, and eat dishes I had never heard of. I wanted to have such an experience, and for those who are going through the same days as me, I would like to take you on a journey, at least in my imagination. So, please travel with the animated Takeru and his merry band of friends. Let’s travel.

Kinoko’s original novel A Gatherer’s Adventure in Isekai won both the Grand Prize and the Readers’ Prize of the 9th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Award in 2016. Alphapolis started publishing the novel series in January 2017, and the 16th volume set to release in Japan on March 19, 2025. The manga adaptation illustrated by Tomozo has released eight volumes since November 2018. The entire series, including digital editions, has printed 1.73 million copies to date.
