This month, Oshiri Tantei (Butt Detective) gets his butt on stage in a brand new movie! Oshiri Tantei the Movie: Star and Moon is the third full-length feature film for the bottom-shaped detective. And in the latest trailer, we get a little backstory about the mysterious Kaito U.
This film will be our first glimpse into the thief’s childhood, as seen in the latest trailer. The trailer also shows Oshiri Tantei training to be an idol and teaming up with Kaito U to solve a new mystery. Oshiri Tantei the Movie: Star and Moon Trailer
The original Oshiri Tantei books are penned by author Troll. Since 2018, the books have been adapted into TV anime, shorts, and films.
Oshiri Tantei series director Hiroki Shibata returns to direct Oshiri Tantei the Movie: Star and Moon. Other returning staff include scriptwriter Shoji Yonemura, composer Hiroshi Takai and character designer Hideaki Maniwa. The film premieres in Japan on March 20.
