Yui Tamura’s Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days manga has been serialized in Comic Days since June 2021 and currently spans nine collected volumes. A live-action film adaptation directed by Takehiko Shinjo screened in Japanese theaters from November 15, 2024.
Shinpei Matsuo (Kakushigoto episode director) directs the anime at studio Ajia-do, with series composition by Deko Akao (Komi Can’t Communicate), character designs by Toshihisa Kaiya (Ascendance of a Bookworm) and music by Hideakira Kimura (Gundam Build Divers).
The story of Yano-kun’s Ordinary Days follows Tsuyoshi Yano, a high school boy who’s frequently down on his luck to the point that class representative Kiyoko Yoshida constantly worries about him. While looking out for him, the pair gradually grow closer and create a pure romantic comedy between a worrying girl and a boy covered in injuries.
