King Gnu made their major debut from Sony Music Labels’ Ariola Japan label in 2019. The band is known for their fourth CD single song “Ichizu,” which was featured as the theme song for the 2021 anime film JUJUTSU KAISEN 0.
“TWILIGHT!!!” is their first theme song work for the Detective Conan anime franchise in their career. “As the theme song for the movie Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback, we have newly written the song ‘TWILIGHT!!!’ We are very honored for the offer, ” said the band’s vocalist and guitarist, Daiki Tsuneda. “The production team told us, ‘Please create the song freely,’ so I think we have created a song with a new approach that has never been used in King Gnu’s music before. We hope you enjoy the music along with the movie. Please look forward to the release!”
“TWILIGHT!!!” will be available digitally on April 18, the film’s release day in Japan.

The synopsis on the film’s official website reads (translated):
Mt. Miho in the Yatsugatake mountain range, Nagano Prefecture. While pursuing a “certain man” in the snowy mountains, Kansuke Yamato, a Nagano Prefectural Police officer, unexpectedly saw a shadow of someone in his field of vision. When he was caught off guard, a rifle bullet fired by “a man” grazed his left eye, causing an avalanche with a loud earth tremor. The avalanche swallowed him up…
Ten months later. After receiving a report that a researcher at the Nobeyama observatory of the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan had been attacked by an unknown assailant, Kansuke, who miraculously survived the avalanche, and Yui Uehara rushed to the scene. During the interview, the giant parabolic antenna of the observatory is set in motion, and suddenly the left eye of the injured and one-eyed Kansuke begins to tingle violently…
That night, the Mori Detective Agency received a call from a detective called “Wani,” a close colleague of Kogoro’s from his days at the Metropolitan Police Department. He said that he was investigating an avalanche that Kansuke was involved in, and that he found Kogoro’s name in the case file. Kogoro promised to meet Wani at a later date, and Conan followed him, but as they were on their way to the meeting place, a gunshot suddenly rang out.
