The Budokan has been used by many well-known Japanese and international artists, including The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Cheap Trick, Deep Purple, Queen, Bon Jovi and The Rolling Stones. Holding a concert at the arena usually means the artist has achieved a measure of great success in the Japanese music industry.

Asked how she felt about holding her solo concert at such a historic venue, Chihaya said, “I am very shaken right now. I think the Budokan is a dream for many artists. And to have a solo concert…It’s a very sobering feeling.”

She also explained why she chose “Oath ONE” as the title of the concert, “The ‘ONE’ in this title is an oath to everyone who has always supported me and my colleagues in 765 Productions, an oath to the beginning with a new challenge and determination to perform at Nippon Budokan, and an oath to give my all and risk everything to this live concert. The ‘ONE’ represents these three meanings.”

At the end of the press conference, she reiterated her enthusiasm for the concert, “I believe that this will be a really important concert that will determine the future path of 765 Productions. That is why I want to give it my all and make it a live concert that will lead us to the next stage. I don’t think it is a matter of course for us idols to have a place where we can sing, dance and perform. I will do my best to make the most of this opportunity so that we can pass it on to the next members. Above all, I want people all over the world to hear the songs I love. I think so from the bottom of my heart.”
