Message from Manaka Iwami:
Before the voice recording session, I watched the series on YouTube, and I was so relieved to see the world where the innocence of Kozame-chan that reminded me of important things and healed me! I wondered what the story would be about since it was going to be made into a movie, but Usame-chan and Ankou-chan were also very cute, I was so healed during the session. The human characters, including Sora whom I play, are also full of personality, so I hope you enjoy it!

Rin Kurusu (Hime Anyoji in Hasu no Sora Jogakuin School Idol Club) voices Miho, Sora’s classmate who likes idol groups. When she hears about Sora’s transfer to another school…?
Message from Rin Kurusu:
I played the role of Miho in the movie “Odekake Kozama: Tokai no Otomodachi,” and I was soothed by the cuteness of Kozame-chan and her friends from the start of the recording. Seeing the purity of Kozame-chan reminded me of the precious things I had left behind in my busy life as an adult without realizing it. This is a warm film that will give you such a feeling, and you can enjoy it alone or with your loved ones!

Eiga Odekake Kozama: Tokai no Otomodachi is set to release in Japan in the summer of 2025. In addition to Kana Hanazawa, who reprises her role as the protagonist Kozame-chan, Megumi Han (Gon Freecss in Hunter x Hunter) and Misaki Kuno (Momo Kawamoto in March comes in like a lion) newly join as Ankou-chan and Usame-chan, respectively.
The synopsis reads (translated):
Kozame-chan, who came in front of the station of Yauo-cho, meets a girl named Sora on a bench, looking sad and downcast. Sora tells her that she is going to transfer to a high school in the city. She is depressed because she thought she might be all alone. Looking at a magazine that shows fun city scenes, Kozame-chan cheers Sora up by telling her that she will be able to make new friends in the city.
After parting with Sora, as Kozame-chan starts to walk away, a glittering poster of the city jumped into her eyes. At that moment, a shark-shaped cloud passes over Kozame-chan. As if lured by the cloud, Kozame-chan boards a train headed for the city. Neon lights shine brightly, and people come and go at the scramble crossing, a crowded train with many people. Kozame-chan’s little adventure begins in the “Tokai (Big City)”!
