The doors for the original TV anime Apocalypse Hotel welcomed eight new cast members today in a brand new trailer for the series based in a historic hotel in Ginza, which survived past humanity. The trailer was released at AnimeJapan 2025 and on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter), which showed off the design of the characters.
The original anime series is scheduled to premiere on April 8 in Japan.

Kana Shundo (Luminous Witches episode director) directs Apocalypse Hotel at CygamesPictures with CyberAgent producing. Shigeru Murakoshi (ZOMBIE LAND SAGA) is writing the series composition, and Natsuki Yokoyama (Attack on Titan Final Season costume design) is drawing the anime character designs based on Izumi Takemoto’s original designs. Yoshiaki Fujisawa (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation) is composing the music.
The concept of the series is described as such:
Humanity has perished and civilization has collapsed on Planet Earth, yet one historic hotel in Ginza remains standing among a ruined town and a resurgence of nature. The story unfolds in a hotel where human beings no longer exist.
