Enka singer Sachiko Kobayashi, who was at the forefront of Dragon Maid’s April Fools fun this year, will perform the ending theme, “Bokutachi no Hibi.” Maria Naganawa, as Kanna, will also perform a version of the song for the soundtrack. Kotringo, who provided the music in seasons one and two of the TV anime, will perform the insert song, “Negaigoto.”
Tatsuya Ishihara (Sound! Euphonium) directs Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to Be Loved at Kyoto Animation, with a script written by Yuka Yamada and character designs/chief animation direction by Miku Kadowaki. The late Yasuhiro Takemoto is credited as series director.
They’re joined by Shingo Kasai as art director, Naomi Takahashi as color designer, Hiroshi Karata as accessory designer, Hiroki Ueda as director of photography and Rin Yamamoto as 3D director.
Crunchyroll streams both seasons of the anime and set of shorts, describing the overall series as such:
Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!
