Japanese hard rock band BAND-MAID released their new digital single song “Ready to Rock” worldwide today on April 4, posting the song’s music video on their official YouTube channel.
The song is now featured as the opening theme for the spring 2025 TV anime Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty. In the music video, the members clash violently in a school as if linked to the world of the anime, and towards the end of the video, they collaborate with dancers for the first time in BAND-MAID’s history.

The TV anime adaptation of Hiroshi Fukuda’s Rock Is a Lady’s Modesty manga series premiered in Japan on April 3, 2025, and HIDIVE is streaming the anime in North America.
Shinya Watada (THE IDOLM@STER Million Live!) directs the anime at studio BN Pictures, with series composition by Shogo Yasukawa (Studio Apartment, Good Lighting, Angel Included) and character designs by Risa Miyadani (Aikatsu Planet!).
The story follows Lilisa Suzunomiya, a young girl who’s forced to give up playing guitar when she’s thrust into a rich lifestyle after her mother remarries a real estate tycoon. However, when she meets a skilled drummer at her new prestigious school, her passion for rock reignites and the pair form a band.
