The official YouTube channel for voice actor Shugo Nakamura is now streaming a music video for his upcoming eighth CD single song “Illuminate.” The pop tune is now featured as the opening theme for the spring 2025 TV anime The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl, in which he is also cast as one of the main characters, Arshent Adler. According to his official X (formerly Twitter) post, this was the first time he had appeared in a drama-style music video.

Meanwhile, Gorilla, the chief promoter of the anime, visited Nakamura’s dressing room just before the first day performance of his live tour “SHUGO NAKAMURA 4th LIVE TOUR ~Leisure Line~” and offers him bananas and dorayaki to cheer him up.
Nakamura’s 8th CD single “Illuminate” is set to release in Japan on April 23, 2025. It will have been two years and one month since the release of his previous seventh single “fist of hope” in March 2023.
Prior to the CD release, the title tune is now available on digital platforms for streaming and download.

The TV anime adaptation of Shirohi’s fantasy novel series The Gorilla God’s Go-To Girl premiered in Japan on April 6, 2025. Crunchyroll is now streaming the first episode “The Gorilla Life of a Lady and Blessings” for Premium Members worldwide excluding Japan and China.
