Something new is on the horizon for Date A Live! What exactly that “something” is currently remains a mystery — but fans are already speculating about the little bit of information we do have.

At first glance, this is a simple (if vague) announcement visual. However, eagle-eyed readers have spotted the branches of a cherry tree in the large background letters — which some believe could be a reference to an illustration in the final volume of the Date A Live light novel. Nothing is confirmed at this point, of course, but the speculation is certainly intriguing.
In truth, we don’t know what the project exactly is yet, but we will keep you updated as more news becomes available!
Crunchyroll currently streams all five seasons of Date A Live, as well as the two OVAs. The series is described as such:
Ordinary high school boy Shido discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes. Shido is recruited to help “seal” the sprits and end their threat to mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit—is to make her fall in love with you.
