In January 2026, the TV anime and film adaptations of Detective Conan (also known in English as Case Closed) will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a newly announced “30 YEAR PROJECT”, and to kick off the festivities the series has published an official logo and a commemorative video. Additional plans for the anniversary celebrations will be revealed at a later date via a special website.

Since January 1994, Shogakukan has serialized the original Detective Conan manga by Gosho Aoyama in their Weekly Shonen Sunday manga magazine, and the series has also been published in 106 collected volumes to date. VIZ Media publishes an English language version of the series under the title Case Closed. The TV anime adaptation began in January 1996, while the first theatrical anime film was released in April 1997.
