Anne Shirley is the most recent anime based on Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic Anne of Green Gables, with Hiroshi Kawamata directing the series at The Answer Studio with series composition by Natsuko Takahashi, character designs by Kenichi Tsuchiya, art direction by Tadashi Sudo and music by Michiru Oshima. Crunchyroll streams the new series and describes it:

They choose to adopt her anyway, as Anne finds friendship, love, and happiness in her new home. Come along for the story of a purehearted and imaginative girl growing up, leaving for college, and returning home a changed woman.
