The official YouTube channel for Hilcrhyme, a solo unit by Japanese hip-hop MC TOC, has posted a music video for “Senya Ichiya feat. Izumi Nakasone (HY),” the ending theme for the spring 2025 TV anime Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho.
As its title suggests, the song features Izumi Nakasone, the vocalist and keyboardist of Japanese rock band HY, as the guest singer. It has been six years since the last time the two collaborated for “Jijitsu Ai feat. Izumi Nakasone (HY)” released in 2019. The music video tells the story of “meeting again across time and space, from the past to the present day,” and was shot at Santai Shrine in Gunma Prefecture, which was selected as a location reminiscent of the world of the anime.

The original Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho novels are written by Motoo Nakanishi, illustrated by Tamaki, and published in Japan by Futabasha. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes an English language version of the novels as well as the manga adaptation with artwork by Yu Satomi. Kazuya Aiura directs the TV anime at Yokohama Animation Laboratory. Deko Akao provides the series composition and Taro Ikegami provides the character designs.
The TV anime adaptation premiered in Japan on March 31, 2025. HIDIVE, which has simulcasted the series, describes the synopsis as such:
In the Edo period, there was a shrine maiden called “Itskihime” in the mountain village of Kadono. Jinta, a wandering orphan who, along with his younger sister Suzune, drifted into the village and grew up to become the shrine maiden’s guardian, ventures into the forest to defeat a mysterious demon who speaks to him of the far future and the threat of a Demon God. So begins this epic supernatural historical fantasy series that follows a demon hunter through his century-spanning journey from the Edo to Heisei periods—all-the-while questioning his wielding of a sword.
