The official website and accounts for the Kingdom anime series today announced that a sixth season will bring the all-out war between the Qin and Zhao armies to Japanese television screens in October 2025. The below teaser visual was also unveiled, featuring “The Inheritor of Qi Wang’s Spear” as the tagline.

Based on the manga by Yasuhisa Hara, Kenichi Imaizumi continues to direct the Kingdom anime at Pierrot and Studio Signpost, with series composition by Noboru Takagi, character designs by Hisashi Abe and music by Hiroyuki Sawano and KOHTA YAMAMOTO. Confirmed Season 6 staff members also include Junichi Higashi as art director, Miyuki Abe as color designer, Hiroki Takano as director of photography, Keisuke Yanagi as editor and Kazuzo Hamano as sound director.

A nameless boy and a young king have grown up in a nation plagued by war. The boy, Xin, has countlessly proven himself on the battlefield, and although initially starting on bad terms, he and the young king, Zheng, have become comrades. Zheng wishes to bring all the warring states under Qin, while Xin climbs the ranks to become a Great General. Both of their ambitions will change history forever.
