Kenjiro Okada (March comes in like a lion chief director) continues to direct for the latest Black Butler anime at studio CloverWorks, with series composition by Hiroyuki Yoshino (World Trigger), character designs by Yumi Shimizu (Horimiya chief animation director).
The original Black Butler manga by Yana Toboso began in 2006 in Square Enix’s G Monthly GFantasy manga magazine, with 34 volumes released in Japan to date. An English language version is also available from Yen Press. Crunchyroll streams the full series to date and describes the story:
