Hyakuemu (also known as “100m”), the upcoming theatrical anime film based on the sports manga of the same name, has published a new trailer as well as a new piece of teaser art. The film begins its theatrical run in Japan on September 19, 2025.

Kodansha serialized the original Hyakuemu manga by Uoto from November 2019 – August 2019 in their Magazine Pocket shonen manga magazine, and the series was also released in 5 collected volumes in Japan. Kenji Iwaisawa directs the film at animation studio Rock ‘n’ Roll Museum. Keisuke Kojima provides the character designs and serves as chief animation director and Hiroaki Tsutsumi provides the music. The film features the voice talents of Tori Matsuzaka as Togashi and Shota Sometani as Komiya.

The story of Hyakuemu is described as follows:
Togashi is born to run. As a kid, he is naturally gifted and wins every 100-meter race without effort. But in sixth grade, he meets Komiya, a transfer student who is full of determination but lacks technique. In teaching him, Togashi gives Komiya a new purpose: to win no matter what. Years pass by, Togashi and Komiya meet again as rivals on the track and reveal their true selves.
