The official YouTube channel for Who-ya Extended, a creative musical unit led by vocalist Who-ya, has started streaming a music video for its third CD single song “Aufheben,” which is now featured as the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime Bye Bye, Earth.

Who-ya Extended started its activities in 2019 and known for its theme song works for PSYCO-PASS and JUJUTSU KAISEN among anime fans. The unit shared the following comments about “Aufheben” on its official website when it was announced in February.
Living in a diverse and colorful world, you may feel miserable or unsure of yourself as a nobody, and sometimes the word “self-discovery” may sharply and deeply pierce your heart. I hope that the song “Aufheben” will give some strength to the endless journey of the main character, Belle, and to you who are watching over her. I look forward to the start of the broadcast!

Following the 10-episode first season in the summer of 2024, the second season of the TV anime adaptation of Tow Ubukata’s fantasy novel Bye Bye, Earth premiered in Japan on April 4, 2025. As well as the first, Crunchyroll is now streaming the new season for members worldwide excluding Japan and Korea. The anime is a a co-development project between Crunchyroll, WOWOW and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan.
