4DX is a theater screening system in which the seats are perfectly linked to the scenes in the film, moving back and forth, up and down, left and right, and allowing the audience to experience various effects such as wind, water (mist), scent, and smoke.

As a direct sequel to the Love Live! Sunshine!! TV anime second season, Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow released in Japan on January 4, 2019, and earned 1.3 billion yen (9.15 million USD) from its total domestic run according to Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan’s annual report for 2019.

As reported, the series’ nine-member voice actor unit Aqours’ final solo concert, “Love Live! Sunshine!! Aqours Final LoveLive! ~Eikyu stage~,” is scheduled to be held at the Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture on June 21 and 22, 2025.

As the second installment in the Love Live! franchise, the Love Live! Sunshine!! TV anime aired for two seasons in 2016 and 2017. Crunchyroll, which streams both seasons, describes the series as such:

Uranohoshi Girls’ High School, a private school in the seaside neighborhood of Uchiura at Numazu city, Shizuoka prefecture.

A small high school in a corner of Suruga Bay, it is home to nine teens,

led by second-year student Chika Takami, driven by one seriously big dream:

To become the next generation of bright, sparkling “school idols”!

As long as we don’t give up, any dream can come true…

All we have to do now is keep pushing hard for glory!

Now their “School Idol Project” begins to make their dreams come true!
