While the Super Robot Wars video game series puts mecha first and foremost, it’s not uncommon to see non-robot series make it into the mix. Previous games have included ships and characters from Cowboy Bebop, Captain Harlock and Devilman. And this summer, we’ll be fighting the king of the monsters himself in the upcoming Super Robot Wars Y!
The latest trailer for the upcoming game piles on the announcements, confirming the full run of series represented in the show and showing off some epic gameplay footage. The gameplay portion closes with a terrifying shot of Godzilla Ultima, as seen in Godzilla Singular Point.

The trailer also gives us a closer look at our ninja-themed original pilots, Cross and Forte Tsukinowa. Players can choose to play as Cross in the Lunderache or Forte in the Lunderache II. Echika Y. Franburnett will oversee our new mothership, the A. Advent.
The voice cast for the new cast of Original Generation characters has been announced as well:

And, of course, it wouldn’t be Super Robot Wars without JAM Project! The anison supergroup has a new song for the game, titled “Hangeki Fight Back!”
Super Robot Wars Y comes to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Steam on August 28. Standard, Digital Deluxe, Digital Ultimate and Ultimate editions will be available with a slew of extras.
