The official YouTube channel for singer-songwriter mekakushe is now streaming a music video for her latest digital single song “Koi no Retronym” (“A Retronym of Love”). The oriental pop tune, written and composed by herself, is now featured as the ending theme for the spring 2025 TV anime KOWLOON GENERIC ROMANCE.

A solo female singer-songwriter who writes lyrics, composes, sings, and plays piano herself, mekakushe began playing classical piano at the age of 3 and released her original song on SoundCloud in December 2013, when she was a third-year high school student. In March 2016, she established her own label, mekakusi records.
As her first anime theme song work, “Koi no Retronym” released digitally on April 6.

The TV anime adaptation of KOWLOON GENERIC ROMANCE, a mystery romance manga series by Jun Mayuzuki (After the Rain), premiered in Japan on April 5, 2025.
