Following the acoustic version, the official YouTube channel for the three-piece Japanese rock band Omoinotake began streaming a main music video for their 19th digital single song “Hitorigoto” (“Soliloquy”), which is now featured as the second ending theme for the ongoing The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 TV anime.
The music video stars two young actors, Nanami Yamazaki and Rina Komiyama, and follows two high school girls who belong to a chorus club. The heartfelt story in the lyric is expressed with beautiful cinematic images. Mitsunori Yokobori, known for his various commercials and MV works, including the ones for McDonald’s Japan, UNIQLO, AKB48, and Nogizaka46, served as director.

“Hitorigoto” released digitally on April 5, ranking #9 on Oricon’s weekly digital single charts in its first week, then #18 in second week. The CD single will also be available on May 21.

The first season of the TV anime adaptation of The Apothecary Diaries aired for 24 episodes from October 2023 to March 2024. The second season premiered in Japan on January 10, 2025, and is simulcast on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.
