There’s no release date in place just yet, but pre-registration is officially live for Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME, the upcoming RPG from Akatsuki Games. A second trailer arrived ahead of its debut on iOS, Android and Steam, showing off its cast of characters, some cinematics and a quick look at the turn-based battles.

The original Kaiju No. 8 manga by Naoya Matsumoto is serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ digital manga platform. An English language version is also available from VIZ Media. Shigeyuki Miya and Tomomi Kamiya direct the TV anime at studio Production I.G., with Ichiro Okouchi (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) on series composition, Tetsuya Nishio (Naruto) on character designs and Yuta Bando (BELLE) on music

In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro.
