The visual novel Summer Pockets is coming to life as an anime this season, and fans of the original game will definitely recognize the music in the show — as you can hear in the ending theme!
Check out a creditless cut of the ending sequence, set to Konomi Suzuki’s “Lasting Moment.” The tune also served as the ending to the original game’s regular route.
Tomoki Kobayashi (Remake Our Life!) serves as director of the TV anime, alongside series composition writer Keiichiro Ochi (The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio) and character designer Mai Otsuka (How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom). Anime studio feel. (ISLAND) works on anime production.
The Summer Pockets visual novel was first released in June 2018 on PC in Japan and an English version launched on Steam in February 2020. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs, describing it as such:
Takahara Hairi never expected summer to feel like a dream. Sent to Torishirojima Island to sort through his late grandmother’s belongings, he’s met with endless sea, quiet nostalgia, and mysterious girls, each chasing something just out of reach. As he settles into island life, lost memories begin to surface and he finds what he never knew he’d lost.
