Chainsaw Man set the stage today at Jump Festa 2025 with the first full look at the upcoming Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, after announcing the anime film last year on the same stage. The brand new trailer revealed a 2025 release date for Japan, and two key visuals — one showing Chainsaw Man and the other previewing Denji and Reze.Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc Second Teaser TrailerTatsuya Yoshihara, who previously directed the fourth and tenth episodes of the TV anime series and directed much of the Black Clover TV anime, is now slated as director for the movie. Hiroshi Seko returns to write the script along with Kazutaka Sugiyama as Character Designer, all at MAPPA.

It's been over a year since the characters of Chainsaw Man invaded the BanG Dream: Girls Band Party game in Japan. Now the event is finally almost ready to take the act global, because the official account revealed plans to launch it in the English version "soon."There aren't any further details outside of the above teaser image that was shared via the official X (formerly Twitter) account. When it launched in Japan back in June 2023, the collab featured an Afterglow cover of "Chainsaw Blood" and a Roselia cover of "Fight Song," both from the Chainsaw Man anime.

While the Chainsaw Man anime has been off screens for a little while in preparation for the Reze Arc film, Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga is still going strong in its second part, bringing forth the story of Denji dealing with Asa – or realistically, Asa dealing with Denji. Before volume 19 releases in Japan on December 4, the Shonen Jump website revealed in an editor's comment that the entire series has surpassed 29 million copies sold (digitally) and printed (physically). The figure did not note whether or not the stat is worldwide or just centered on Japan.This print run update brings the Chainsaw Man manga an increase of one million copies in print since the last update in July 2024 and two million copies since the May 2024 update.
