It’s time to Gag Manga Biyori GO dive into the newest update from the fifth anime adaptation of Kosuke Masuda’s aptly titled comedy series. The latest trailer for the anime was released, revealing an April 5 premiere date, streaming information, a preview of the opening theme song, and the worldwide premiere event at Kawaii Con.Gag Manga Biyori GO Trailer 2The newly unveiled opening theme song "Bokutachi no Gag Manga Biyori (Our Gag Manga Biyori)," performed by Yuji Ueda, was previewed for the first time in the above trailer along with the voice cast.Gag Manga Biyori GO will have its world premiere at Kawaii Con in Hawaii on March 14 with series director Akitaro Daichi also appearing as a special guest for the event.  Gag Manga Biyori was previously adapted in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2010, and also inspired stage plays.

Masuda Kosuke's Gag Manga Biyori manga is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. For the big two-five, the franchise previously revealed it will get a fifth anime adaptation, with the staff and cast from the previous series' returning for another round of jokes. A stage event was held for the series at Jump Festa 2025 today with the first trailer for the Gag Manga Biyori GO anime, also known as Masuda Kosuke Gekijo Gag Manga Biyori GO in Japanese (“GO” being the Japanese word for “5”), released by REMOW alongside details on the opening and ending themes, and a new cast member.Gag Manga Biyori GO - First Teaser TrailerThe teaser trailer previews the ending theme song “Happy Ending,” performed by Tetsuya Kanmuri (THE Kanmuri).
