The official X (formerly Twitter) for Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing announced on February 19 that the film's cumulative total gross in Japan has surpassed one billion yen (6.62 million USD). Apart from advanced theatrical screenings of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, it has become the first Japanese theatrical anime film to reach the one billion yen mark among films released in 2025.The post also shared a new celebratory illustration drawn by the film's character designer and chief animation director, Yuki Akiyama.

Via press release and a post on their official social media feed, film distributors GKIDS revealed that they've acquired the license for Colorful Stage! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing, a theatrical anime film based on the Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! rhythm game series for smartphones.GKIDS will screen the film in North American theaters beginning on April 11, 2025.Colorful Stage!

The official YouTube channel for the HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! smartphone game is now streaming a music video for "Worlders," the ending theme song for the anime feature film inspired by the game, Gekijouban Project Sekai Kowareta SEKAI to Utaenai MIKU (“Project Sekai the Movie: The Broken World and The Miku Who Can't Sing”).Vocaloid producer Jin worked on the lyrics and music of the song. A total of 26 characters in the film, including Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin & Len, Megurine Luka, MEIKO, KAITO, Leo/need, MORE MORE JUMP!, Vivid BAD SQUAD, Wonderlands, Showtime, and 25-ji, Nightcord de performed the song together.

This week marks the debut of a true virtual pop star icon in Fortnite, as Vocaloid queen Hatsune Miku prepares to join Epic Games' wildly popular game as the Festival Season 7 Icon. The festivities begin when v33.20 launches on January 14 and will run until April 8.  Players will be able to unlock a Hatsune Miku Outfit, Instruments and more with the purchase of a Music Pass, which is priced at 1,400 V-Bucks.
