As previously reported, ahead of the premiere of the new Gundam TV series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX in near future, a theatrical version using re-edited episodes, titled Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-, will screen in Japanese theaters on January 17, 2025.The anime's official website has released a trailer and key visual for the advance theatrical edition. The anime is a co-production work by khara and Sunrise, so the tagline attached to the visual reads: "khara x Sunrise. Dreams intersect."And the anime's official X (formerly Twitter) has also confirmed that the film will also screen in select IMAX theaters in Japan, which is the first time in the history of the Gundam anime franchise.

Gundam info, the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise's official portal news site, announced today that a new TV anime series Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (pronounced as "Geeku-akusu") is now in the works. The news was also during the "Gundam Conference WINTER 2024" stream.The TV anime series is scheduled to air in Japan on the Nihon Television Network stations in the near future.
